Erbil: On 11th Nov, 2021, Dr. Dara Jalil Khayat the president of Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in the presence of deputies

 and a number of board of directors of the Chamber received a commercial delegation from Hakari province headed by Sarwat Tash the president of Hakary Chamber of Commerce. and a number of businessmen from the area. 

In a meeting the sides discussed the commercial ties between Hakary and Lurdistan Region, and introducing the Hakary produces, and  opening a commercial gate between the Region and Hakary, which has been awaited since a long time. DrKhayat said that Kurdistan Region an Hakary are close to each other geographically and culturally; but not commercially.And, opening such a gate 

would serve to consolidate the tie and trade exchange. 

The president of the gate would reduce pressure on the Ibrahim Khalil gate and the Chamber supports the efforts. 

Dr. Khayat hoped the investors and traders try to open factories in the Region and to cover other sectors than import and export. 

Erbil: On November 8, 2021, Dr. Dara Jalil Khayat received Mehdi Safari the deputy of the foreign minister of Iran for diplomacy and economy affairs.

In a meeting attended by a number of board of directors and the consul general of Iran to Erbil, the both sides addressed the commercial ties between the Region and Iran. 

The Iran diplomat said that his country made all the preparations to support the trade development with the Kurdistan Region, our companies can invest in the Region in all kind of projects. 

Safari said: We would like in collaboration with the Kurdistan Region officials, to develop the Haji Omaran gate, increase the services, rise trade exchange in this gate. 

And said that a commercial forum will be held to remove obstacles in the way of the commerce in the gate, and also they are planning to to hold a business forum will all the Iraqi businessmen and traders.
