The newly appointed Indian Consul in Erbil visited the Chamber 

Erbil: On November 12, 2020, Dr. Dara Jalil Khayat the President of the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry, received Subhash Kain, the recently appointed Consul Generalmof India in Er il and his accompanied delegation.

In a meeting attended by Sadraddin Kamal the member of board of directors of the Chamber, the sides talked about strengthening of commercial relations and exchange of trade delegations.

Subhash Kain said that: It was difficult for me at the first place to be appointed and work in Iraq, specially, it sparked worthiness among my family members, but when I came and established in this beautiful safe place which is the Kurdistan Region- Erbil, I felt happy and secure. I found myself in a safe place among a friendly people. Now, I, my family and my team are happy.

Kain also said: There are more than 10 thousands Indian Workers, based for work here in Kurdistan Region, in different sectors. I followed up their situation, met with them, I found out they are happy and satisfied here. So, we would like to promote our trade ties with the Region and participate in the reconstruction of the region and establish investment. 

Dr. Khayat made points about the friendship, cultural and commercial ties between Kurdistan Region and India. He said that India is an important country for Kurdistan Region, the region can benefit from the capacity and experience of that country and the Indian companies are invited to establish business and invest in the Region. 

In the end of the meeting, Dr. Khayat hoped success for Kain in his new capacity, and wished more development and promotion in the commercial ties between the both sides, 

The President of the Chamber visited the Palestine Consulate in Erbil

Erbil: November12, 2020, Dr. Dara Jalil Khayat the President of the Erbil Chamber of Commerce and Industry, visited the Palestine Consulate in Erbil to extend condolences on the death of Dr. Saeb Uraeqat , the head of Palestine Liberation Department. Dr. Khayat was received by Nazmi Hazuri the Palestine consul general in Erbil. 

Dr. Khaya, extended the condolences of the Chamber board of directors members, to the Palestine people on passing away one of their leaders.  

The Palestine diplomat thanked the President of the Chamber and spoke about the solid relations between the Kurdistan Region and the Palestine people, and the necessity of further consolidating of these ties.

Erbil: October 31, 2020, under the auspices of the Iraq Prime Minister Mr. Mustafa Kadhimi, and The Egypt Prime Minister Mustafa Madbuli, the Iraq - Eygypt Trade Forum took place, in the presence of a large number of traders, industrialists and business interests owners. 

_{Also a number of ministers of the both Iraq and Egypt Cabinet attended the forum, where Mustafa Kadhimi gave a statement, to reiterate the importance of the role the private sector his cabinet’s support to boast this sector in Iraq, for this goal they would prefer to be if it from the Egyptian capacity and experience.}
